DECISION-MAKER 550 GENERATOR CONTROLLER

The DEC 550 controller firmware (application program) is factory loaded and used for field upgrades or replacement.

NOTICE!!
DEC 550 controller is now offered with keyswitch optional panel.
Allows user to lock generator in OFF and remove key.

A CD-ROM is shipped attached to the 550 controller that includes: Firmware, Program Loader, and Personality Profile. Program Loader software is required to upgrade the controller firmware.

XC500 is a DEC 550 that has been brand labelled for OEM sales and is not available in North America.

Cooldown Temperature Override Option: The user can select engine cooldown shutdown based on time delay. Voltage Calibration Function: Line-to-line metering calibration has been added, supplementing line-to-neutral calibration. Place the 550 controller master switch in AUTO.

New Engines Supported: Shutdowns, warnings, and other functions have been added for GM, Waukesha, and MTU engines. Refer to Decision-Maker 550 Software Upgrades Letter No. 02-51S for more information.

Protective Relays for Switchgear Applications: A new Menu 15 has been added to the 550 controller for switchgear applications. Protective relays are now a software function which saves you installation time and money. Also check into the Reverse Power Shutdown feature that prevents AC power flow into the genset from the utility or another generator. The switchgear applications are only available when ordering Kohler PD-Series Switchgear with a Decision-Maker 550 controller.

Reinitialization Made Easy: Controller upgrades can now be done without manually recording field set parameters.
